Morning Star’s mission calls us to provide a firm foundation of faith, service and academics to children with learning differences in an atmosphere of love and acceptance and it is our desire that everyone who walks through the doors of our building know that they are standing on Holy Ground. Thanks to the Catholic Foundation Grant, our new classrooms have
crucifixes. We have purchased and installed statuary and artwork as well in a number of areas to enrich the students’ participation in prayer and worship. Statues of our Blessed Mother also adorn our garden. Pictures on the walls help students experience the beauty of their faith. Because our students require multi-sensory approaches to instruction, our Action Bibles and Youth Catechism books will be used along with the sacred symbols of our faith to enhance the curriculum. The impact of this grant will be measured every moment of every day when our students are able to
reach out to the Blessed Mother and her Son Jesus in faith and hope; hope for a future that will be better for having been a member of the faith community of Morning Star School.
